Create an Affidavit
Affidavits are created inside the job just like service attempts and job notes.
You must create a service attempt before you can create an affidavit. This allows the system to map the attempt information to the affidavit template, so you do not have to manually fill out the document.
Press New Affidavit to open the affidavit creation screen.
There are dozens of different affidavit templates already loaded into ServeManager to choose from, you can access the list by clicking the template box on the top toolbar (in between Advanced Edit and Save & Share).

The top toolbar displays information including the job number, the job status, the job client, and the assigned process server.
Cancel will exit out of the affidavit creation screen and bring you back to the job.
Advanced Edit opens up the entire document to edit and modify spacing, style changes and other layout choices.
Save & Share will save the affidavit and open the email/sharing box so you can send a copy of the document to any of the client contacts, the process server, or any of your company’s employees.
Save will save any changes made to the document.
When creating an affidavit, the blue fields will display job information and service attempt information. Clicking any blue field will turn the field to yellow and allow you to make any modifications to the text.

Even though the system autofills this information, always review the affidavit carefully before signing or submitting it to ensure everything is complete and accurate.
After saving, an affidavit can be emailed, printed out, saved as a pdf to your computer, and can be re-edited at any point. If a client requests changes to the affidavit, you can go back, edit the form, and resubmit it as needed.
