ServeManager Glossary

Terms you will see around ServeManager and what they mean

  • Accept/Decline: The act of requiring a contract server to accept or decline a new job before they are able to work on it. 
  • Active: Your current, still operating items.
  • Affidavit: A written statement confirmed by oath for use as evidence in court.
  • Archive: A catalog of your inactive items.
  • Attempt Description: A summary of what happened during the attempt process.
  • Attempt: The act of making the effort to serve paperwork whether successful or unsuccessful.
  • Bulk Options: Actionable items applied in mass volume.
  • Client: The individual or company that assigned you the job.
  • Collaborating: A company you are working jointly with, that you have sent a collaboration invitation to that has been accepted.
  • Company: An entity such as a client you receive jobs from, or a subcontracted process server.
  • Court Case: Your active and archived court cases associated with jobs entered.
  • Creator: The originating producer of an item.
  • Documents To Be Served: The paperwork that is needed to be delivered to the recipient.
  • Due Date: The date which the process server needs to have completed their attempts.
  • E-File: The act of filing the affidavit with the court.
  • Employees: Individuals that work directly for your company.
  • FieldSheet: A work order outlining attempts made on the job.
  • Integration: The ability to link third party vendors with ServeManager through our API. 
  • Invited: A collaboration invitation has been sent to an entity and pending accept.
  • Invoice: A bill of services provided with the sum due for services rendered.
  • Job Activity: An audit trail of activities performed in jobs.
  • Job Board: a predetermined set of filters with customized columns views  that will be automatically applied when selecting a job board .
  • Job Notes: An area that you can store notes respective to a job.
  • Job Order Form: A public facing page where clients can enter new jobs for you.
  • Job Status: The current standing of the job for organizational purposes.
  • Job: An entry of data outlining the details of the assignment set forth by the client.
  • Miscellaneous Uploads: a file upload that is relevant to the job but isn’t a document to be served.
  • Products: Services rendered with service fees attached with the option of enabling taxes.
  • Recipient: The person or entity the papers will be served upon.
  • Rush Priority: The ability to deem a job of higher importance.
  • ServeManager Directory: an Opt-in list for subscribed ServeManager users to be feature on when looking to subcontracting work.
  • Server Pay: An option to keep track and apply fees and prices associated with a company, server, or organization.
  • Service Address: Where the recipient can be found.
  • Service Status: The current standing of the job service, whether it has been attempted, unable to serve, or served.
  • Share: the ability to email updated items in a job. 
  • Statement: A bill containing multiple invoices and items to send to a client after performing multiple tasks.
